Haus & Grund: Die Ampel-Regierung ist eine Koalition des Rückschritts

„Nachdem die Ampel-Koalition mit ihrem Ziel, 400.000 Wohnungen pro Jahr zu errichten, krachend gescheitert ist, setzt sie weiter auf die kontraproduktive Mietpreisbremse, die die Lage nochmal verschärfen wird.“ So kommentierte Haus & Grund-Präsident Kai Warnecke den Referentenentwurf zur Verlängerung der Mietpreisbremse. Warnecke verwies auf wissenschaftliche Studien unter anderem des IW Köln, wonach die übermäßige Mietenregulierung einen deutlichen Rückgang des Mietwohnungsangebotes zur Folge hat.

„Aus der selbst ernannten Fortschrittskoalition ist eine Koalition des Rückschritts geworden“, stellte der Verbandschef fest. Mit der Verlängerung um drei Jahre setze die Ampel-Regierung ein Zeichen gegen Investitionen in den Wohnungsneubau und gegen die Modernisierung des Wohnungsbestands. Die ohnehin bereits wirtschaftlich sehr schlechte Lage in der Bau- und Immobilienwirtschaft werde sich weiter verschlechtern.
